I am a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn, where I cover the roles of Deputy Director of Research and of Deputy Program Director of the Migration Area. 

My research interests are on labour economics, with a focus on migration and its determinants, the impact on receiving countries, the labour market performance of immigrants and the role of their social networks.

I also collaborate with the ESRC Centre for Population Change (CPC) on several projects related to migration. In the past, I have been a lecturer at the Division of Economics at the University of Southampton and I have worked for the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute (S3RI) on a  project for combining migration data.
